On May 8, 2024, the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) in Barakaldo will become the epicenter of urban innovation, hosting mayors and entrepreneurs from 90 cities for the 7th edition of the Innpulso Emprende meeting.

Organized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, this event is an essential event for the cities of the Innpulso Network, which are at the forefront of science and innovation in Spain. This year's theme, "The methodological framework of the Spanish Urban Agenda", is not only relevant, but is crucial to understanding how the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda can be adapted and achieved at the local level. .

This meeting promises to be a launching pad for numerous innovative initiatives, where small and medium-sized companies, as well as startups, will have the opportunity to show their most avant-garde projects. These projects have been carefully selected for their high potential for innovation and their contribution to the economic and social development of their respective locations.

The presence of the mayors alongside the innovative companies is not only a symbolic gesture, but an example of the close collaboration between the local government and the private sector to promote innovation. This event not only seeks to reward creativity and ingenuity, but also to provide a space for the exchange of ideas and experiences that can be replicated in other regions of the country.

Among the key objectives of Innpulso Emprende are to promote inter-municipal cooperation, improve the visibility of innovative SMEs and connect them with potential investors and new markets. This meeting is also a recognition of the continuous effort of the cities of the Innpulso Network to remain leaders in urban and technological innovation in Spain.

The event program will include presentations of success stories, panel discussions and networking opportunities that are essential for any entrepreneur looking to scale their project. In addition, special attention will be paid to how innovation can contribute to smarter governance and the creation of more sustainable and liveable cities.

The 7th edition of Innpulso Emprende is not only an example of the Government's commitment to innovation, but also an affirmation that public policies and collaboration between different levels of government and the private sector are fundamental for technological and social progress.
