Demand-adapted tram service

This Thursday, May 4, Euskotren will provide a special tram and Metro L3 service in Bilbao to facilitate travel to the football match between Athletic Club and Betis, which will be played in San Mamés starting at ten at night.

The tram will run every 12 minutes between Bolueta and La Casilla, with some reinforcement services from Pío Baroja to Hospital (20.54:21.40 p.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.) to facilitate travel to San Mamés.

Once the game is over, there will be a partial cut of service between La Casilla and Euskalduna, lasting approximately one hour. This cut is part of the municipal Emergency Plan coordinated by the Bilbao City Council to guarantee the proper eviction of the public attending the sporting event.

Recommendations for users

In order to avoid crowds at the stops near San Mamés, Euskotren advises users to go to the Euskalduna stop to start their journey back by tram, which will have two special services to Bolueta. In addition, he recommends the use of Barik as a payment system to expedite the boarding procedure.

Reinforcement on Line 3 of the Metro

As for the Metro, after the end of the game, the service will be reinforced in the L3 (Bilbao/Matiko – Kukullaga), complementing the one established by Metro Bilbao on lines 1 and 2 for the return journey. Users will be able to correspond at the Casco Viejo/Zazpikaleak station.

This special Euskotren service will facilitate the transport of football fans, improving the experience and guaranteeing a safe and comfortable journey.
