This year, the Professional Improvement Program includes a line of aid for postgraduate studies in energy transition and quantum computing taught on Basque university campuses.

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia, through its Department of Economic Promotion, has launched the Professional Improvement 2024 program. This program is aimed at recent graduates from Bizkaia under 30 years of age with an average grade higher than 7 in their undergraduate studies or who have participated in Bizkaia Talent's Talentia excellence program. The objective is to promote the improvement of postgraduate training for the youth of Bizkaia through courses at prestigious international campuses and master's degrees at Basque university centers in strategic areas such as energy transition and quantum computing. The Deputy for Economic Promotion, Ainara Basurko, presented this program underlining the need for highly qualified personnel in companies in the territory.

News of the program and focus on strategic sectors

The regional government has been promoting excellent training among recent graduates in leading international centers for a decade. This year, as a novelty, a support line has been included to facilitate the access of young professionals to specialized training in energy transition and quantum technology. This seeks to develop local talent so that Bizkaia continues to lead the energy sector and has trained personnel to carry out advanced research in physics and quantum technology.

Importance of highly qualified personnel
