Bizkaia celebrates International Museum Day with a varied cultural offer

Once again, Bizkaia joins the celebration of International Museum Day, promoted by ICOM (International Council of Museums), highlighting the diversity and cultural offering of the more than 40 museums in the territory. This year, the theme of the celebration is "Museums for education and research."

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia encourages citizens to come to museums, get to know them and live the different experiences they offer throughout the year. On May 18, the museums of Bizkaia will offer attractive activities to celebrate this day, in addition to the varied programming they have designed. Most museums will offer free admission.

Featured activities of International Museum Day

Escape Room in Campo Volantín

To connect with the public who are not in the habit of visiting museums, an Escape Room has been organized on Campo Volantín Street. This game dynamic, free and aimed at all audiences, will take place on May 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 16:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. Participants will discover the importance of museums and their cultural contribution. To ensure participation, it is recommended to sign up through bizkaikomuseoak@bizkaia.eus.
