González Pons suggests that if the PP does not beat the PSOE, Feijóo will fall

At a campaign event in Valencia, the director of the Popular Party campaign and candidate in the European elections, Esteban González Pons, issued a warning about the future of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. “If on Sunday night Sánchez has tied, he stays and we… I'm not going to say how, but also”, stated González Pons, suggesting that a defeat could have serious repercussions for Feijóo.

Sánchez also criticized the Popular Party for lowering its expectations for 9J. “They are asking for the time and now they say they are going out to tie the game. Well, they're going to lose it!”, cried the President of the Government. Furthermore, he reproached Feijóo for his condescension towards the extreme right, warning that “When you make a pact with the extreme right you end up devoured by the extreme right”.
