The PNV spokesperson warns about Sánchez's strategies and their social impact

Aitor Esteban, spokesperson for the PNV in Congress, has issued a clear warning to the president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez. According to Esteban, Sánchez's strategy could be promoting the growth of the extreme right to secure power indefinitely. This practice, in Esteban's opinion, is dangerous on a social level and can have negative consequences for the country.

In a recent interview, Esteban recalled that the PNV will not collaborate with Vox or the extreme right. This firm position indicates that, as long as the PP depends on these votes, there will be no agreements with them. Furthermore, spokesman Jeltzale criticized the lack of real movements by the PP to get closer to the PNV, limiting itself to words without concrete actions.

The PNV maintains its investiture agreement with the PSOE, a collaboration that will extend for the duration of the legislature or until it is broken from other fronts, as it could be from Catalonia. This coherence, according to Esteban, is crucial not only at the state level, but also in Europe, where both formations govern together in the Basque institutions.

The PNV spokesperson expressed concern about Sánchez's recent strategy, which seems to seek to divide the far right. He mentioned as an example the president's insistence on appointing Alvise Pérez without any need., which according to Esteban could be encouraging the extreme right to consolidate.

The need for a long-term view in politics

Esteban stressed the importance of having a long-term vision in politics. Playing the short term can lead to political clashes and a divided society. The consolidation of the extreme right, although it may be useful for certain short-term objectives, puts the social and political fabric of the country at risk.

Transfer of powers and political stability

On the other hand, Esteban addressed the issue of the transfer of responsibility for the economic management of Social Security. He insisted that it is necessary to talk little and act through meetings, highlighting that although steps are being taken, these are not easy times due to political instability and continuous elections.

The danger of promoting the extreme right to maintain political power

The PNV spokesperson stressed that although the current situation of the State does not facilitate progress, significant agreements have been achieved in recent years. These actions, although slow, show that there is a clear objective and that over time positions can be brought closer.

Esteban's warning highlights the need for prudence and good sense in political strategies. Promoting the far right may seem like a short-term solution, but its long-term consequences can be detrimental to the social cohesion and political stability of the country.
