Euskotren has announced that it will strengthen the service of Bilbao tram this Friday, April 19, coinciding with the soccer match between Athletic Club and Granada FC, which will be played in San Mamés at 21:00 p.m. This reinforcement aims to facilitate access to and exit from the stadium for fans who will attend the match.

Special service details:

  • Usual route: The tram will operate on its regular route between Bolueta and La Casilla.
  • Additional services: Extra trams will be added from Pío Baroja to Hospital, leaving at 19:52 p.m. and 20:28 p.m., to accommodate the increase in passengers due to the match.

Post-match measures:

  • Service outage: There will be a temporary cut in the service between La Casilla and Euskalduna, which will last between 20 and 30 minutes, to facilitate the safe evacuation of the public. This cut is coordinated within the municipal Emergency Plan of the Bilbao City Council.

  • Suggested stop for the return: To avoid crowding at the stops closest to San Mamés, it is recommended that users go to the Euskalduna stop to take the return tram.
  • Payment system: It is advisable to use the Barik card to expedite boarding.

Additional Resources:

  • Users can check schedules and obtain more information through the Euskotren customer service telephone number, 944 333333, by visiting the website www.euskotren.eus, or through the official Euskotren application.

This reinforcement of tram service is part of Euskotren's ongoing efforts to provide efficient and safe public transportation, especially during high-traffic events such as soccer matches, thus ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
