The highlight of the contest is usually the official section, where the most powerful creations are shown. In this year's program you can find works such as "Freaks out" (Gabriele Mainetti), "Midnight" (Oh-Seung Kwon), "The Cellar" (Brendan Muldowney), "Beyond the infinite two minutes" (Junta Yamaguchi) or "Son" (Ivan Kavanagh), among others.

The official program jury is made up of Ana Murugarren (Marcilla, 1965), director and screenwriter author of "García y García"; Jimina Sabadú (Madrid, 1981), writer and director of "La Pájara" and Borja Santaolalla (Bilbao, 1982), screenwriter and director who has participated in series such as "Amar es para siempre".

In addition to the official section, the festival has a large number of activities and projections to complete the program. One of them is the short film competition FANT en Corto or FANT en Corto Vasco, where the best exponents of short horror films will show their latest works. You can also enjoy the FANTástico Panorama, the special projections, the Masters of FANT or FANT Eskola.

Exhibition "To die in Bilbao"

As part of the celebration of the festival, various talks and exhibitions will be held, among which "Morirse en Bilbao" by Kike Infame and Señor Verde stands out, which can be seen in the municipal center of Barrainkua between May 6 and 14.

The exhibition is based on the fanzine of the same name that tells stories set in Bilbao in the year 2136, proposing a dystopian vision of the city. The stories have a common link, which gives the fanzine its name, which is: die in Bilbao.
