Gerediaga Elkartea offers guided tours of the sculpture park

This weekend, Gerediaga Elkartea, dedicated to promoting the heritage of Durangaldea, offers a special opportunity to explore Durango's outdoor sculptures. The guided tours, which are part of the association's catalog of activities to promote local knowledge, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, coinciding with the Plazara initiative of the Durango City Council.

Guided tour details:

  • Date and Time: Visits are scheduled for April 20 and 21. The visit in Basque begins at 10:30 AM and the Spanish one at 12:30 PM.
  • Duration: Approximately an hour and a half.
  • Capacity: Limited to 25 people per group to ensure an intimate and detailed experience.
  • Registration: Prior registration is required, which can be done via email gerediaga@gerediaga.eus or by calling 946818066.

Visit route:

  • Point: Ezkurdi Square fountain.
  • Featured sculptures: Works by renowned artists such as Vicente Larrea, Néstor Basterretxea, Jesús Jauregi and Imanol Marrodan, among others. Seven main sculptures will be visited and others relevant to the municipality will be mentioned.

Gerediaga Elkartea has also renewed its agreement with the Durango tourist office to offer 27 thematic visits during the spring and summer, managed directly by the tourist office. Additionally, in collaboration with the City Council's Immigration Department, specific visits have been scheduled for migrants, providing useful information about municipal services and the rich history and culture of Durango.
