Citizen participation in the Bilbao festivities

Starting this Tuesday, Bilbao residents have the opportunity to directly influence their city's festivities through a new proposal box enabled by Bilboko Konpartsak. This mailbox is not only intended to collect ideas for the emblematic Aste Nagusia, but also for other cultural and festive activities that are organized throughout the year.

Diversity of events covered

Bilboko Konpartsak, known to be one of the key organizers of the Aste Nagusia, have extended the invitation to submit suggestions for a variety of events. These include the Summer Solstice, Carnival, the climb to Txosnagane or Konpartsakide eguna. The initiative seeks to incorporate citizens' voices in the planning and improvement of these celebrations, ensuring that they reflect the values and wishes of the community.

Core Values

The proposals collected must align with the values promoted by Bilboko Konpartsak: popular, participatory, feminist and Basque philosophy. These principles are fundamental to ensure that the festivities continue to be a space for inclusive and representative cultural expression of all sectors of Bilbao.

How to participate?

To participate, interested parties must access the contribution box on the Bilboko Konpartsak website. There you will find a form that you must complete with the details of your proposal. It is important to explain the idea with as much clarity and detail as possible to facilitate its evaluation and possible implementation.

If a proposal is selected to be carried forward, Bilboko Konpartsak will contact the author to discuss next steps.

This openness towards citizen participation will not only enrich the festivities but will also strengthen the social and cultural fabric of Bilbao, making its celebrations a true reflection of its community.
